The History

The approximately 3,216± acre property comprising Siard Ranch was originally purchased by the Siard family in 1885 and 1900 from the US Government, and it is now owned by the grandson of the ranch’s original founder. Today, all private property within six miles of the current home at the site is part of Siard Ranch.

The site was a prime location for ranchers at the time, due to the dozens of productive springs across the property, which provided water to raise animals as well as an orchard that is still fruitful. Today, the water provides a surplus that nourishes the ranch’s many beautiful vistas, including aspen groves, creeks, canyons, and intense blooms of springtime flowers.

Siard Ranch is no longer host to any cattle, but it is the summer retreat of its current owner, Robert Hager, who spends his days there hiking across the property and the abutting proposed Grandfather’s Wilderness Area, enjoying the solitude and natural beauty.
